Easy & Delicious AF Grilled Shrimp Recipe (DGS Free)

Heading to a holiday party or just having a few friends over for some fun? Add this easy and delicious grilled shrimp recipe to your menu. It takes only a few minutes, but the flavor is deliciousness. This appetizer can easily be made into the main dish by adding steamed rice and veggies or serving over your favorite pasta. You could add fresh parsley to this recipe once the shrimp are cooked and plated, I often do, but didn’t have any on hand this time. I’ve also made this recipe with lime in place of lemon and added fresh cilantro at the end.

 

What the…

1 pound raw, peeled and deveined jumbo shrimp

1 large lemon

2 Tablespoons Olive Oil

1-2 cloves garlic minced

Salt & Pepper (to taste)

How the…

  1. Zest the entire lemon into a medium sized bowl. Add olive oil, garlic, salt & pepper to bowl and whisk together. Toss shrimp into the marinade and coat evenly. Let set for 10 minutes. I typically leave mine out on the counter with plastic wrap over it, but you can put in the fridge if you prefer.
  2. Light up the grill to medium high heat and give the shrimp another stir before placing on the grill. You can skewer the shrimp to make it easier to flip and so they don’t fall through the grates, but I often find the shrimp are large enough or I forget to soak the bamboo skewers beforehand. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side. Spoon marinade over shrimp while they cook or transfer shrimp to a plate once they are done and spoon over the top. Enjoy with a nice glass of my favorite (Mumm) or a dry white wine.
